Operating procedures for mud pumps

1. Pre-startup inspection: All connection parts must be tightened. The direction of electric rotation should be correct. The clutch is flexible and reliable. The pipeline connection is firm, the seal is reliable, and the bottom valve is flexible and effective.

2.Before starting the submersible slurry pump, the suction pipe, bottom valve and pump body must be filled with priming water, and the upper end of the pressure gauge buffer must be filled with oil.

3. Rotate the piston by hand to make it reciprocate twice. Only when there is no resistance and the insulation of the circuit is good can it be started under no-load conditions. After starting, gradually increase the load when the operation is normal.

4. During operation, pay attention to the sealing conditions of each sealing device and make adjustments if necessary. The pull rods and auxiliary rods should be frequently lubricated with oil.

5. During operation, the sand content in the mud should be frequently tested to ensure it does not exceed 10%.

6. For slurry pumps with several speed Settings, to ensure reliable splash lubrication, each speed should be operated separately during each shift, with each operation lasting no less than 30 seconds.

7. It is strictly prohibited to change the speed while the pump is in operation. If a speed change is necessary, the pump should be stopped and the gear shifted.
