Precautions for using mud pumps

Before starting the mud pump, please check whether the inlet and outlet pipes are blocked, whether grease has been added to the front and rear bearings, and whether the packing is fully filled. When the mud pump is in operation, a high-pressure clean water pump should be equipped to transport clean water with a pressure greater than that of the mud pump to the leak-proof packing to protect the packing. The flushing pump must not be turned off when the mud pump is working; otherwise, the sealing part will wear out rapidly. Whether the gap between the impeller and the guard plate is reasonable has a significant impact on the service life of the slurry pump. If the clearance is unreasonable, the pump will generate vibration and noise during operation, and the flow-through components will be damaged quickly. Therefore, when replacing the impeller, it is necessary to pay attention to ensuring that the clearance meets the requirements of the drawing. The clearance adjustment can be carried out through the adjustment screw on the rear bearing housing. The allowable suction lift of the slurry pump is determined when transporting clear water. When pumping slurry, the influence of the slurry on the suction capacity should be taken into consideration.
